Gettysburg

Anna Claire (Kelly) Harris, 85, of Gettysburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at The Gardens at Gettysburg.

Anna was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Anna never left her husband's side, showing her unwavering devotion and love to Theodore, until the end. As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she passed her strength, determination, and stubbornness to the next generations. One of her absolute favorite things to do was go fishing. One of her favorite locations is at Pecks Pond. She enjoyed going there with her beloved family.

During Christmas she would joyfully bake cookies and play Johnny Mathis' albums. While she didn't always show affection openly, she expressed love by preparing memorable meals for everyone. She generously passed down incredible and delicious recipes to her family, creating a legacy that forthcoming generations will always hold dear.

Furthermore, she was fond of exploring various flea markets and participating in election polling. She devoted a significant amount of her time to going to churches and donating to them. She attended Freedom Valley Church in Gettysburg and Life Discovery Church in McSherrystown. She cherished her role working at the hotel with her husband, Ted and son, John, for the Dominican sisters. We can't forget her love for the Eagles! Anna cherished her family, whether they were near or far. Her memory will always be honored, and her legacy will persist. Heartstrings always connect those we love and lose into infinity. If you have any anecdotes about Anna, we would appreciate it if you could convey them to us.

Anna departs from her younger brother, James Kelly, and her late siblings, Franklin Kelly, Catherine DeLaney, John Kelly, Frances Hillman, and Mary Kelly. She departed this world to be greeted by her loving, deceased husband, Theodore Harris.
