Curtis Hoff

Curtis David Hoff died peacefully at the age of 97 at his home in Hanover on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. 

He was the beloved husband for 73 years to Ladora (Stremmel) Hoff and loving father of Brian R. Hoff and his wife Debra, and Erin Hoff Coyne and her husband Thomas. A loving grandfather to Jeremiah Hoff and wife Dona, Madison Hoff Merlino and husband John, Thomas H. Coyne, Jr and wife Valerie, Meridith Coyne Haskin and husband Adam, and Timothy J. Coyne and wife Tanya. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren. The son of Curtis I. Hoff and Mary (Huggens) Hoff preceded him in death as well as his brothers Dale Hoff and Phillip Hoff.

Upon graduation from Eichelberger High School in 1945 he entered the Army Air Corp (Air Force). He was an engineer on a B-24 Bomber during WWII and was honorably discharged.

After the service he was employed at Revonah and Malcolm Spinning Mills and retired as plant engineer.

He was a longtime member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover. He was a member of Hanover Fire Company No. 1. He enjoyed model building of ships and trains. He and Ladora travelled to Europe, Canada, and 49 of 50 states.

A private service will be held at a future date.
