Hugh Edward Redding, 66, of Taneytown, MD, passed away suddenly on December 8, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Debra Redding for 34 years. Born August 30, 1958, in Gettysburg, PA, he was the devoted son of the late Henry and Marie (Robertson) Redding.
Hugh, who was known as everybody’s “Little Leprechaun”, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed camping, crabbing, boating, and fishing. He loved NASCAR races and his weekend family gatherings at Donnie’s. He was employed by Dorsey Trucking as a dump truck driver.
Hugh is survived by his sons; Brian Hooper and wife Cheryl, and Mikie Kline and companion Carol. Grandchildren; Devin, Paige, Kiersten, Brooke, Dustin, and Olivia. 10 great-grandchildren. Brothers; Jim and Henry, Brother-in-laws; Steve, Paul, and Bruce, Sister-in-law, Brenda, Close family friends; Donald and Bobbi McMaster, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his wife, Debra, he was predeceased by his sister, Faith and other relatives.
