Kevin "Mums" Mummert

Kevin Michael Mummert, lovingly known as "Mums", 67, of Hanover, PA, passed away on June 5, 2024 at his home after a brief illness.

Born September 28, 1956, in Hanover, he was the son of Shirley (Spangler) Mummert of Spring Grove and the late Lester R. Mummert, Jr.

Kevin was a 1974 graduate of Spring Grove High School. He also graduated from Culinary School of Harrisburg in 1988. Kevin worked as the food director at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg for many years.

He attended the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Hanover. He enjoyed golf and fishing.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his significant other of 25 years, Mary Ann Mehaffey; four siblings, Karen Mediavilla and husband Rudy, Keith Mummert and wife Sherry, Kim Weaver and husband Dean, and Kelly Mummert; numerous nieces and nephews; Mary's family; many friends and his beloved cats, Baby Girl and Peanut.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 4-6pm at Brandenburg & Stein Funeral Parlor, 3045 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA. A prayer service will be held at 5:00pm with Deacon Christopher Livelsberger officiating. 

Inurnment will be private.
