Lynn “Lindsay” Elms Thompson, 81, of Gettysburg, PA passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2024. She was the loving wife of John Thompson for 11 years. Born August 13, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the devoted daughter of the late Earl and Constance (Elms) Killebrew.

Lindsay was a happy, fun loving, outgoing person who loved musical theatre as evident by her skipping school seven times to see “South Pacific”. Earning her degree at Sullins College, she enjoyed a successful business career as a Corporate Event Planner. She was an avid card player and an exceptionally keen and proficient tennis player and loved her overseas holidays. She enjoyed her new family at Amblebrook and was a member of the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church. She was a dog lover with her greatest joy being her Cockapoo, Tucker. 

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her brother, David Killebrew; sister, Susan Jenkins; daughter, Amy Laster; grandkids, Jack, Bradley, and Avery; many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Funeral services are private.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11 am, at the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church, 174 Red Bridge Road, Gettysburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the ASPCA at www.aspca.org.
