Randy Lee Pennington

Randy Lee Pennington, 60, of Gettysburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the Gettysburg Hospital after a brief illness.

Born June 11, 1963, in Gettysburg, and raised in Bonneauville, he was the son of the late Joshua Joseph Jacob and Evelyn (Toot) Pennington. 

Randy was the loving husband of Linda (Brown) Pennington for 42 years.

He had worked as a tree trimmer for the family business, Pennington Tree Experts.

Randy enjoyed scrapping and junking! He was known as the "Junk Yard Dog" and the "#1 Scrapper".  He also enjoyed auctions; cat fishing; and watching NASCAR.

In addition to his wife Linda, he is also survived by four children, John Pennington and wife Crystal, Randy Pennington, Jr. and wife Cassie, Katie Pennington and fiancé Josh Rebert, and Douglas Pennington; four siblings, Jimmy Pennington, Jr., James Pennington and wife April Schultz, Wanda Thompson, Brian Pennington and wife Karen; three grandchildren, Autumn Pennington, Elizabeth Pennington, Mason Rebert; and friend, Randy Noble.

In addition to his parents, Randy was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sandy Arthurs and Peg McGuire.
